What Does Samskara Mean?
In Sanskrit and Telugu, Samskara means a rite of passage — a transformative moment that shapes character, refines the soul, and prepares an individual for a higher purpose.
SAMSKARA is a Hyderabad-based not-for-profit organization committed to transforming lives through holistic education, healthcare, women empowerment, child welfare, youth development, environmental awareness, and community service.
The organization works through five focused wings — Health, Women, Child, Sahayath, and Green Samskara — bringing together doctors, educators, social workers, professionals, students, volunteers, and community leaders to serve vulnerable and underserved communities across Telangana.

Two Decades of Impact
SAMSKARA Founded
Established in Hyderabad, Telangana by Prof. Jyothsna Tirunagari with a mission to train, motivate, and assist people to improve their quality of life.
Green Samskara Launched
Environmental wing launched with tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and plastic-free awareness programs in schools and communities.
Health Samskara Begins
First free mega health camp organized — offering screenings, eye checkups, respiratory health programs, and integrated health education.
Women & Child Programs
Women Samskara and Child Samskara launched — focusing on reproductive health, girls' confidence-building, child psychology, and teacher training.
Sahayath Samskara
Youth empowerment wing launched — providing skill development, digital literacy, career support, and livelihood guidance.
Best NGO Award
Recognized as Best NGO by the Government of Telangana — a landmark acknowledgement of SAMSKARA's sustained community impact.

Prof. Jyothsna Tirunagari
President, SAMSKARA Foundation
A dynamic and passionate leader with deep commitment to the upliftment of the underprivileged and marginalized. Prof. Jyothsna holds a Postgraduate in Finance, Graduate in Computer Applications, Diploma in Pharmacy, and certification in Clinical Research.
With experience across financial institutions, educational institutions, and research organizations, her leadership reflects interdisciplinary thinking, social responsibility, institution-building, and a strong commitment to value-based service. She has contributed to initiatives involving the Ministry of Health, DCGI, DST, AYUSH, and other institutional ecosystems.
Dr. Naadem Divya
General Secretary, SAMSKARA Foundation
A dynamic academic leader, Associate Professor, researcher, mentor, and institution builder with more than 15 years of experience in higher education, student development, data science, machine learning, and academic administration.
Dr. Divya holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, M.Tech in Software Engineering, and M.A. in Psychology. She brings 20+ international publications, two granted patents, international innovation recognition, and multiple Best Teacher Awards to SAMSKARA's leadership.
SAMSKARA is strengthened by highly dedicated professionals from healthcare, education, research, technology, public service, administration, social work, communications, and youth leadership.
As a women-led and women-owned social impact organization, SAMSKARA brings empathy, discipline, professionalism, and grassroots connect into every initiative — believing that service must be practical, inclusive, transparent, and community-centered.
